3 ft snow drift

Consider yourself lucky your rig didn't just climb over the top of the drift.

And the next wind betcha it's a repeat performance.

Yeah, you do need a snow fence or other wind break.

Man, I understand what it's like. I gave up trying to clear my road after the first of Mar as the temp will do it about the same time I get it cleared with the bucket.

The pic was taken 2 weekends ago. The temp was around +9, the snow was very wet. I had fun but really didn't clear anything significant in 2 hrs. If I had to clear the snow I would buy a blower like you have.

Is there a law against trees up there? Looks pretty barren. Maybe a row of trees along the driveway would shift that 3' drift into your neighbor's driveway.

No, just a new property we moved onto Nov 2010. Previously was a large track of farmed land that got subdivided into six lots. So no trees yet.

That is alot of snow! Blowers are great. In those wet conditions it would be slow going but it would get the job done.

Check out a new modern invention called snow fence.

After suffering several years of 3' drifts all the way to the street, I realized it was time to take drastic measures. Then it took several years to figure out how, and were exactly to put it out.

This year, I really only had to plow my drive 1 time. It's always windy here, so the rest of the time the wind blew it clean for me.

The drifts ended up piled nicely, next to the snow fence in the middle of my front yard. Sweet.
