Lely - Vermeer disc mowers

Hello, I am new to this site and hope I am posting on the correct forum. I am looking for help on some information on a Lely 280 disc mower that I bought on a auction sat. Are these mowers identical to Vermeer and parts interchangeable. From pictures I have seen they look the same. Also, do they give much trouble. Any weak points to them? Any information appricated.

There are 2 different series of Lely mowers, Optimo & Splendimo. The Vermeer mowers have the identical drive transmissions with some cover & frame changes. We have the manuals on our website, free downloads.
