Later today I intend on removing my front mounted snowblower from our JD 2320 and putting the loader back on. Because of our lack of space for inside storage, I had to leave the loader outside this year through the winter.

Is there anything special I should keep in mind or do before either attaching or operating the loader?

Thank you in advance any insight and help.

Nothing special that I have been aware of, other than there may be a buildup of pressure in the lines making it difficult to push the male into the female quick connect.
If that is the case, the relieving that pressure will be necessary. Pushing on the tip of the male connector can result in the oil squirting out, so eye protection is a must. Wrapping with a rag will help protect the clothing from the discharged oil (probably less than a tablespoon, but spattered everywhere if not wrapped).

I have a 300 cx loader, I left mine out all winter last year and most of this winter, since I had my frame mounted plow attached.

The only issue you may have is if the loader settled in soft ground, it may be uneven or you may not be able to get under the masts. In which case you may have to jack it up a little, if you can't get close enough to hook up hyd lines. Mine shifted quite a bit last spring but I was just able to get under it.

If you have it on hard surface there should be no problems.

Well maybe I shouldn't say that, you may have trouble with hyd couplers not connecting due to built up pressure in lines. I have experienced that before.
There have been threads on that, and the best way to relieve the pressure. It can be troublesome if it's your first time.

The more I think about it there is a good chance you will have trouble with couplers, as it has happened to me 50% of the time I removed loader.
It's easy to relieve pressure on tractor side by moving the stick to all positions with engine off. For the lines on the loader you need to tap the ball at the end of the male connector, cover it with a rag and hold it good, because it will release a spray of oil. Only do that if you can not couple one of the lines.

edit: Beenthere beat me to the pressure build up part, since I am a slow typer I diddn't see his response :)

Good luck, JB.

When you say removing my front snowblower did you mean snowblower and the independent front hitch assembly as both need to be removed prior to mounting the loader.

Dmay...

Absolutely as my intention is to clean and put the snowblower and quick hitch away for the year. May be wishful thinking on my part in that we will not receive any more snow this year but if it comes to it, I will just use the FEL to clear the drive.

The only issue I ever had, other than settling, is a couple of times when the bucket was rolled back and I removed it and it filled with rain/snow it rolled fwd and puch so much pressure on the hydraulic return line you couldn't get it into the quick connect...I mean really it felt like it was broken, but by tapping the tip of the quick connect on the hose with a rubber mallet I was able to "vent the pressue " (AKA squirt myself in the face) and relieve the problem.
