That's what I kept asking myself while in the tractor. Yes the new stereo has a clock but I have to go through a dozen menu's to find it so I found these great people on Ebay that sold motorcycle clocks and along with that they had thermometers as well so I went out to the tractor and measured the grab bar of the door and ordered the two items. Really nice quality items and as you can see you can use them on tractors as well as motorcycles. Perfect place for them because I don't use that door due to the 3rd function set up just below the door.

I attached a link to they're auctions so have a look a give these fine folks some business if you need an item like this. You won't be disappointed. Here's a few photo's.

Most require that the radio be turned off to set the clock. That's what always gets me. About 15-20 minutes into the ordeal, I finally remember that little detail and then it goes easy.

mine's a clarion radio.. and the instructions don't mention how to do it :( has to be done with radio on.. I remember that much.

I literally sat there an hour one day and went thru all modes and got the time change prompt up.. then took another hour to figure out how to change hour location.. took me another hour to figurte out how to get to the minutes to change them.. then took another hour to figurte out how to SAVE it.

why make it so difficult???

Because they can???

Actually it has to do with the built in camera which transmits directly to AFV.:D

too much of a multi- step deal.. using seemingly unrelated controlls. different control to change hour than minute.. different control to switch between the two.. yet a different button COMBINATION to even get into time programming mode once you accidentally push the correct button to get you into a mode that will allow you to then push a combination ( 2 buttons and hold a 5 count ) to do it.

all that done and the time is set.. then there is a totally unrelated button COMBINATION to save it... i remember all that.. just not which buttons / dials

and to think my dodge ram which is a year OLDER has a time and minute button you hit with a toothpick or paperclip....

Fortunately, our Ford Ranger and Crown Vic both have OEM radios and the original manuals are in the glove compartments. And I have to get out the manuals twice a year to reset the clocks.

As I said in past posts I really like the new sound system but when you sit in the seat and look up towards the roof to see the clock That's not coming up in the stereo head and you realize you got some figuring to do to see it I just say to myself "good lord I got to do something about this".

The manufacture should have had one button dedicated to the system that you could push to get the time.
I have the iPhone but I still have to pick it up and hit a button to get the time to display. I know all of this is no big deal but with the new clock/watch it's so convent and I think it adds that custom look to the cab. When I found the clock I noticed the thermometer and decided to add that as well. I just think it's so cooooool! LOL

These are the easiest to attach. You can get them in different sizes. You need to measure the pipe your putting them on then contact the seller to see if you can get the right size. I know you can get them for 1" pipe and a few other sizes. Mine happened to be 1". They have a very nice chrome finish on them and come with there own Alan key plus a spare battery for the clock. It takes longer to remove them from the box than it do to install them. Just slide it on the pipe and tighten the set screw on the bottom of the base. Remember. These were designed for motorcycles so the elements shouldn't bother them and where you place them they will stay in place providing you have the right one for the right size of pipe.

We all seem to grumble and complain when we buy something from a company or a seller if we didn't feel we were treated right. In this case the people I purchased these items from were about the nicest folks I've run into in a very long time so I thought it was worth mentioning. Thanks for your comments and posts.

I can't see it. Can you post bigger pics? Kidding.

Just get a watch, a lot simpler and goes with you everywhere.

Give the photo's 30 seconds to load up and they re-size to the smaller photo's. I hate wearing a watch. :(

So get a pocket watch. I hear they're coming into style again.:laughing:

To much trouble getting it out of my pocket. The only other alternative was to wear a clock around my neck like this rapper does. Works for him :confused2:

Paul:

Does that clock automatically sync up to the atomic clocks, or do you have to set it manually? Otherwise to cool for school.

JTPYO = Just To Piss You Off.

The old fashion way. Manually
