I paid for my Yanmar with beer money. Don't miss the sauce-- sure would miss my tractor.:2cents:

I find water far better when on a tractor, i get dehydrated fast. I also wear a mask to filter all the dust i am kicking up so its rare voluminous drinking breaks of water.

Dusty:

Are your neighbor's initials JAS? I used to work with a functional drunk that downed a 6-pack every day during his 30-minute lunch break, which was part of the case he drank every day.

Before direct deposit, he cashed his paychecks at the liquor store he bought his booze from.

If he had more than his usual amount, he would get belligerent.

Beer and cigarettes today would be about the same as a new tractor payment. The new tractor is alot more fun and not near as life threatening.

A few years ago I was doing a massive remodel job for one of my customers who was a Bud distributor with a large market. I admitted that I didn't drink more than a case a year at best. He told me that excessive drinkers were more of a problem for his business than most people would ever imagine. He said that if everyone would drink in moderation he would make more money.

He's drinkin Busch Light, and has a tolerance, probably doesn't feel it till the 9th or 10th one. I used to drink that much Yuengling and the only trouble I caused was on TBN, my wife remembers it differently tho... :p

I just have to say it, alcohol does not go with tractors, cars, boats, guns, chainsaws, women etc. Once you finish, have at it if you are so inclined.

I quite smoking and drinking close to thirty years ago and don't miss it a bit. Prior to that, I may have exceeded my lifetime quota anyway.

Dusty, I think your neighbour needs help.

Why don't you go over there and drink a few of his beers while he mows? It'll be good for both of you!

He's a great guy and a heck of a neighbor. His barn paddocks chicken coop and pastures are spotless. I think he follows his animals around shovel in hand, but I promise you him and his wife kill a case of beer every two days.

I did that once a few years ago. I was mowing our front pasture and he waved me over. I left the tractor idling and walked over to his place. I stayed too long and when we saw headlights coming down his drive I knew I was caught. Didn't help she was pregnant at the time, she even made me walk home.
