I love my Grand L and need a cab. But for what you are describing for what your needs are I think the MX5100 is a very sound choice. A lot of tractor for the money and will be a great work horse for you. Just as an FYI though the L's are 0% for 60 months also. I just got my L delivered 3 weeks ago with that financing.

T-7! Just getting the insurance - hope to have it dropped off next week! Dealer loaded the tires this week and is installing the other dealer options. Waiting for the tiller to arrive.

Exciting!

Congrats! That is one nice tractor, I'm jealous as I have to put my MX4700 on hold for a little while.

I too have decided upon an MX, but I'm likely going to go with the 4700. The only difference that I can see is that the 5100 eeks out a few more HSP by using a turbo. I know that countless discussions swear that the turbo is ultra reliable, but if it ever does go, it's going to be incredibly expensive to fix. I'd just assume save $500 or so by skipping the turbo.

Is the only difference between the MX5100 and MX4700 the turbo?

There are a few differences between the MX5100 and the MX4700. The 5100 has the turbo, a handle on the right fender and the deluxe 3 point hitch.

Thanks, I thought had seen the telescoping 3-point adjusters mentioned elsewhere, but wasn't sure. I really like them. I know they can be added, but I "think" the cost is pretty high; may be wrong..

Hmmm, that's interesting. One of the main reasons I went with the MX vs the L series was the improved 3PH including the telescoping lower link ends and stabilizers. I thought both models had this but upon closer review I see that the brochure does note this is for the MX5100 only (and the 4x4 model at least according to the 2009 brochure I have)
