I ended up getting it started. Not sure what I did. I did rock the HST and it didn't start, so I started checking all the wiring for the starter and ground like Roy suggested, still nothing. All the wires were tight and clen. There are 3 little fuse/relay blocks underneath the steering wheel. I pull a few I would guess relays and reseated them and wiggled a wire harness to make sure it was tight and it started. Not sure what did it. I didn't notice though that the engine turned over sorta sluggish. I shut it off, turned it back on and it started up normal. I noticed the sluggish starting before, but blamed that on the cold cause when it is semi warm out it starts fine. The battery has the green check dot on top of it and it was a nice green. Not sure what the real issue is here though. I guess I'll just keep my eye on it. That would be the last issue I thought i would have ever had. I bought new so I won't have these kind of problems.

No reason why you should have to pay for a trailer ride under warranty.

My dealer would not agree with your comment. Its a good dealer and he will perform all warranty work with a smile ... but getting the machine to/from the dealer is not free. Neither is his people coming to me.

Unless the dealer is an unreasonable distance I wouldn't agree to purchase a tractor under those terms. I don't find that to be an unreasonable expectation. They're likely going to make that money back in spades over time. My warranty time is supposed to flush out potential issues and should not come at any cost to me.

This is a CUT not an excavator.

Don't know if it applies to your tractor and you seem to have found the problem, but this is how I found out mine won't start if the mid PTO lever is down:)

I have a different tractor but a similar problem. My L3240 was not starting good in the cold weather. It was traced to a loose wire on the glow plug relay so the glow plugs weren't working even though the indicator light was working. The relay was one of three in front of the steering wheel under the dash cover similar to your tractor. Not sure what the other two relays are for but it seems like one of them was probably causing your problem.Wiggling the wires seems to have been the cure.Hope it works fine for you from now on.

Having the dealer do the search and repair isn't just there obligation. It starts the paper trail on a warentee claim. The dealer gets paid from factory. Plus the mechanic is likely to check and test your entire wiring and electrical. Just in case it was built on a Fri. afternoon. ;)
I think I wouldn't hesitate to call the salesman that sold it to you. Tell him if he can't get the service dept. to come out and fix or pick up the tractor N/C he can kiss any future sales goodbye.

Maybe I am assuming too much. I know when I purchased the tractor, if I wanted them to do the maintenance I would be responsible for bringing the tractor to them. If they had to pick it up, they would charge me $75 for pickup and delivery. Maybe if it is a warranty thing, they may do the pickup and delivery. They are about a 1/2 away from me.
