To: LittleBlue - Don't get too upset with LS, it usually takes 3-5 years to get good marketing people, develop a new brand, and release new information in a timely manner. I agree with you regarding their lack of response to your enquiries. That is unnaceptable no matter how you look at it. However, being an optimist, I like to think that they are simply growing so fast that they simply cannot cover all the bases. In the end, if the product is as good as I have come to believe, the tractors will sell themselves through word of mouth on informative forums like this. Maybe then they will get their act together. When I get my I3040 (or R3039 whatever they choose to call it), I'll be sure to remain in this forum and share my experiences good or bad. Everyone benefits from the knowledge of many. You are off to a good start. It was your pics of your S3010 and your enthusiasm that made me take a serious look at LS. Keep it up!

Yeah, I guess I know that it takes a while to get things up and rolling. At least it sounds like they are concentrating on the important stuff: warranty support. It's just a little frustrating in that it gives the orange & green evangelists something else to beat up on LS about.

I'm disappointed to say they haven't even acknowledged my comments. Mentioned that lstractorusa.com is the first place people expect to find information about the brand and that they had a pretty good reputation with us LS owners on TBN. Guess they may not have been real happy with me saying their web site wasn't very effective and that there's lots of good web designers out there looking for work if they need one.

Seems like they feel their web site is little more than a sales brochure -- well if that's the way they feel, then it should at least be up to date with the current models being shipped to, and sold by, their dealers. Sorry, it just annoys me that they are missing out on such an important marketing/customer service tool. Kinda implies a certain "immaturity" of the brand if you ask me.

Little Blue, I to have e-mailed them with no replay...I just dont get it avatar

hey avatar,

You might want to give LS Tractor USA a call: 252-984-0700 -- I called them early on about missing some pages in my S3010 owner's manual and they answered right away and then emailed me the missing pages pronto.

We got our first R3039s in last week, very nice. the extending lift arms and fender mounted loader valve joystick are the main changes. These are very well equipped tractors with dual remotes, tilt steering etc. The G series will be coming on line later. I think LS main marketing strategy has been based in agressive pricing and signing up dealers. They may be waiting till the G series arrives to revamp the website...

I think LS is just getting discovered. I also think the prices are not going to stay low. I think LS is selling at a loss or near a loss now. Trying to get into the market and get some units out in the field so people can see them and talk with owners. Tractors sell by word of mouth and show me. What you don't see much now is advertising. Every small farm magazine has kubota or Kioti adds in them, but no LS. I keep shopping and looking even though I take delivery of the U5030 at the end of next month. I am still convinced I made the right buy. A utility tractor to compare with weight, HP, cubic inches of engine, and all the extra's they put on, you would easy be up at 38K. I compare the LS U5030 to a Kubota M6040 or JD 5065M. The LS has 16 gears not the 8 standard and 12 at extra cost on Kubota. Even at that the FEL on LS is 400lbs over the Kubota. Every way you compare the LS seems to be on top.

Have you considered used? I'm a newbie to tractors, but I'm always leery on buying a new model of vehicle. I like to stick to the proven models.

No, close examination shows a real nice tractor. Fit finish and quality of materials are all there. Plus the Mitsubishi engine is a real nice diesel and sold worldwide. Not much risk here.

I just found out my local Case/Landini dealer is taking on LS, I'm pretty happy about that as my current local dealer is about 50 miles away, soon only 5. Yippee!

HEY, I finally got a response from LS Tractor USA to my email message -- at least it looks like you might be right and they are trying....

"First of all, thank you for choosing LS Tractor.

As you mentioned below, we firmly believe that it is right time to upgrade our website. So we got started to find the best web design company and should be done pretty quickly.

Thank you for your valuable advice and input on our website. If you have anything further, please feel free to contact us.
