We got our first R3039s in last week, very nice. the extending lift arms and fender mounted loader valve joystick are the main changes. These are very well equipped tractors with dual remotes, tilt steering etc. The G series will be coming on line later. I think LS main marketing strategy has been based in agressive pricing and signing up dealers. They may be waiting till the G series arrives to revamp the website...

My dealer told me that the G3039 was going to be the R3040 replacement, but the R3039 seems to be very close. He didn't have any information to give me at that time. What's the difference between the G-Series and the R-Series? Which will have the higher price? Sorry for all the questions, but you are the first person on the site to acknowledge that there really is a G-Series.

HEY, I finally got a response from LS Tractor USA to my email message -- at least it looks like you might be right and they are trying....

"First of all, thank you for choosing LS Tractor.

As you mentioned below, we firmly believe that it is right time to upgrade our website. So we got started to find the best web design company and should be done pretty quickly.

Thank you for your valuable advice and input on our website. If you have anything further, please feel free to contact us.

Regards,
(name withheld to protect the innocent)"

Well, better late than never!

That's great news. I can hardly wait to see the new LS web site.
My own dealer's web site has disappeared from the web along with their e-mail address. That has me concerned and makes me wonder if the business is having financial difficulties. They are the only dealer in my area within 100s of miles. They are also a Mahindra Dealer, so it's not necessarily an LS issue.

I wouldn't get too excited about the web thing -- still sounds to me like it might be a while before they get anything new up.

I'm sorry to hear that about your dealer, but it might be something as simple as they forgot to renew their domain name or service provider. If they are not too far away you might want to stop by and see what's going on.

Anyone notice the site now has link to LS in Korea. What I find interesting is that the tractors on the LS Korea site are different than those offered in USA. I noticed there is a U6030 offered there and not here. And all the U series tractors on the Korea site have a different engine than those being sold here. The US tractors in the U series have Mitsubishi S4s 3.33L engines, the Korea site shows Mitsubishi S4QL's 2.5L engines. Interesting. I'm glad to have the S4s, one of the reasons I picked the LS was the extra size of the engine, I like cubic inches over a turbo any day.

My dealer told me that the G3039 was going to be the R3040 replacement.

There isn't an R3040, think he/you meant I3040. The G series is meant to replace the I series I think... I'm still curious if there is a G3039 and an R3039. Hopefully they'll update their site soon so we can tell.

there is a U6030 offered [on Korean site] and not here. HS

I'm sure they name their model numbers to compare to similar competitors in the market... LS probably compares their U5000 series to the JD 5 series here in the US whereas there is probably a competitor in Asia that has a 6 or 6000 series that they are competing with.

And the S4QL is in the R series here so maybe that 6000 series is actually our R4000's?

I'm with you on the cubic inches though. Tweaks to make an engine more powerful is nice, but that is all a turbo is... I'd rather have a bigger/stronger engine to begin with :D

The U series in US has the Mitsubishi S4s engine which is 3.33L's. The U series in Korea listed the U series with the S4LQ engine which is 2.5L's. So either the USA gets a different engine or the new 2011 U series here will have a different engine soon. I think the 3.3L engine is better to have and would cause me to think about U series purchase if it had the 2.5L engine. Of the big three things that make the LS stand out in the U series is the extra size of engine. The other two are overall weight and HP.

You might want to give LS Tractor USA a call: 252-984-0700 -- I called them early on about missing some pages in my S3010 owner's manual and they answered right away and then emailed me the missing pages pronto.

Thanks little blue, ill call them later today and see if i can get some questions answered.

The more I look at the Korean LS site the more I like the LS brand. This is a big company that is investing in their company and improving the whole line. I could easily see LS challenge and overtake Kioti right away. Kubota has a real following that will be hard to challenge but Kubota had better start getting to work or they are going to loose market place.
