RTV 500 water temp.

What is the normal operating temp that yall see on the gauge of the 500. I hardly ride mine long enough to get it warm but today took it for a ride and it warmed up and temp would get close and sometimes in the red. Shut it down soon as that happened. Then one time it was headed back the same way and it went back to cool side. I believe I may have a problem with thermostat sticking or something like that, the heater warms up and starts blowing hot air so I believe that water pump it pumping.

If the thermostat is sticking, the heater will start to cool down although it sounds like you haven't run it long enough to find that out...A good thing.

If all of the fluid levels are good, I'd wit you on the thermostat....Make sure that the rad isn't blocked with debris.

Mine goes about 1/8 of the way past cold and never gets any hotter no matter what I do, but my fan kicks on a lot. Yours is running hot for sure. +1 on the thermostat.

just got it back and it was the thermostat, of course on the ride up there on the trailer it must have freed thermostat up because i couldnt get it to overheat it at all but dealer went on and replaced it so hopefully i'm good to go now.
