bx1800

I am receiving a bx 1800 later this week it has a FEL, MMM, and tiller. under 600 hours. I have not come across many threads about the 1800. Is there any reason for lack of threads? also as this is my first tractor does any one have any suggestions at to its dependability. thanks Al

Don't know why you haven't found info on BX1800. When I bought my first tractor 7 years ago the choices in the BX line were the BX1500, BX1800 and BX2200. The BX1500 was a bit smaller than the 1800 and 2200. The BX18?? is now the smallest of the BX line. The BX1800 was a fine and dependable BX with no common bad issues that I can remember seeing. Issues with the BX2200 body wise or other than engine would probably also appy to the BX1800.
Recent thread concerning o ring problem with steering that lets steering rod rust may be something you want to read or research. It has been a recent thread that one person has had a problem with due to bad dealer support after 7 years use with the BX2200 tractor..

Normally, in a forum such as this, lack of threads can be a good thing.

It usually means that there have been very few problems.

Especially considering that Kubota is a 'high sales' tractor.:thumbsup:

My neighbor has a BX1500, that is the reason I started looking a SCUT's. It is not talked about much either. I can say this....it is one stout, reliable machine!!

I had the BX2200, really the same as the BX1800 cept smaller engine. I think most buyers go for the slightly larger engine for little more $, thus more 2200 sold. Excellent preformance wise for its size, great resale value and parts support. Ill bet you could resell that tractor in a few years for what you paid for it.
