Are you sure it is no lk3054?

If so the hydraulic pumps were aluminum an had habit of failing that would be 400 or so if it is the pump after all

I own lk3054 and like very much

My loader is I believe 1231

Joel

Yes it is a LK3504 as I looked at it yesterday in person, and the price of that pump (if that is what is wrong) is better than I thought!

I WAS going to say that it sounded like potentially a lot of headaches and expense to get it fixed up, but for $300 I'd face the wrath of my wife to get it into my yard!

You will definitely want to get a hydraulic pressure gauge to tie into the lines and check the pressure first.

Ok, I have her home & pressure washed the whole tractor yesterday so the work will be cleaner, and she is now in my workshop.

I found a shop manual, but it hasn't arrived yet. Where should I start looking for this problem with the 3-point and the FEL not working? I was hoping that the hydraulic pump was external, but at a quick glance today it appears to be an internal one

Does anybosy have a link to the hydraulic pressure gauge that I need to test the system? Or if someone wants to rent me one, that would be nice and could be handled thru Paypal and the mail system.

I will obviously start with checking the transmission fluid level to make sure there is adequate fluid in there for the hydraulics. It would be nice if the problem was something as simple as that. It would be nice if it is the directional valve of the joystick controls for the FEL, but since the 3-point won't raise, I can probably rule out the joytstick controls.

Does that model have the little knob that adjusts the hydraulic flow rate? It would be funny if that knob was just cranked all the way closed.

Since the loader is not working, you really need to tie into the hydraulic system right at the pump to test the pressure. Most tractors have a "test port" on the pump to test and it should say in the manual if and where it is. Check with your local dealer or NAPA for a gauge, I rented one from NAPA for free with a $50 refundable deposit.

That knob on the Kioti's only adjust the speed of the 3pt hitch, it has nothing to do with the loader which is also not working in this case.

I know that knob, but have not tried it yet. I would be surprised if that's it, but hey.....

You may want to pull the filter element and see what it looks like. If something has contaminated the hydraulic system the suction filter will plug up very quickly and starve the pump giving you the symptoms you describe.
