Price Increases

Stopped by my local dealer yesterday and they had a DK55 platform with loader for $24,600. I thought about it and called back this morning to say I would take it. Someone beat me to it this morning. Dealer called back later and told me Kioti had raised prices $1300 and now I would also have to pay freight for $500 so the new price is now $26,400. Ugh. I held off. He wasn't quite high enough on my trade in either...

What part of the country are you in? As far as what is on Kioti's web site their current promotions run from March - June 30, 2011. I find it a bit hard to believe that during that promotion period they would raise prices. What I would find believable is the tractor that he had on the lot was a left over from last year and so was discounted compare to a newer 2011.

Kioti took a nominal price increase April 1. Price increases can happen at anytime regardless of programs in effect. This can happen w/ any brand or manufacturer.

Price inceases can occur during any promtion going on, so you can sitll get the free loader in lieu of financing or any other programs currently in place but yes it would cost more. The other tractor likely had additional rebate for aged inventory plus lower base price. Freight is figured in on ALL units so it should not be extra unless there have been some freight rate or surcharges added in due to recent fuel prices.

yup.....i was shocked when i dropped by the steel supplier in town. 20% increase in steel prices.

He%%, Candy bars are going up 20%. Why not tractors.

The implements i ordered from Quick Attach were based on a 60 day old bid. they had a price increase also, but they went ahead and honored their original bid. Great people, they didn't have to do that

Yep the new cub cadet yanmar's took about a 3% price hike to. All the kioti dealers i was talking to told me the same thing i just couldn't. But i was afraid to put a deposit down and lock in before i started the loan process lol. Oh well now i'm approved for the loan and will see what they can do for me price wise. That still sounds good for a new DK55 i was quoted from a big 5 PAW kioti dealer around 25 k for a 2009 dk55 w/ 400hrs on that was there personal demo tractor and used for haying around there business/farm property. So you price does not sound bad still in my opinion. I'm priced at 25k for a new dk45se hst w/ loader.

Same thing happened to me. Got a quote 3 weeks ago for a ck35 hst for 16200. I went to go take a look on Monday and the salesman said to throw the old quote out. Prices had been raised %5. When he called me the next day with a new quote, he said when he got a new one in stock it would be 17100.

I was on the fence before between the ck35 and a Kubota l3700 because they were just about the same in price, but that makes that decision for me.

Call around and see whether any other dealers have a DK55 on their lot that came in previous to the price hike. They may still give you a better price. My local dealer has one and he sells more 35, 40 and 45's so chance is it will sit for a bit.

Actually he and the rep tried to find one on the lot at the old price. There was one in Ky but there was a charge for assembly then shipping so it came within $300 of the new one.
