Stopped by my local dealer yesterday and they had a DK55 platform with loader for $24,600. I thought about it and called back this morning to say I would take it. Someone beat me to it this morning. Dealer called back later and told me Kioti had raised prices $1300 and now I would also have to pay freight for $500 so the new price is now $26,400. Ugh. I held off. He wasn't quite high enough on my trade in either...
Your dealer seems to be right on the money. Kioti began charging us freight several months ago and we did get a price increase this month. so if a tractor is on the lot that came in freight free at old pricing, it can be sold for less than a tractor delivered after april 1. We have seen price increases in most of our product lines this year. Material and fuel costs are usually cited as the reason, but the exchange rates on the green back dollar have a lot to do with it as most everything we "consume" in the US is imported or has a high degree of imported content. Now may be the best time to buy. possible component shortages from Japan Inc, declining dollar and reduced stocking by distributors and dealers due to the last couple years economy will make bargains harder to get. I do have a couple left ;-) Also when the $3500 "rebate" goes away, prices will really jump. It happened last year and I expect they will take them away as scheduled this year.
