BX1860 54" deck and Gator blades

Yes sir........ Different sound. I have them on my Lawn Boy push mower and the sound is different on it too. Sure work well on my machines.

I use mine with full open discharge.

Yes, that was one thing I was worried about and was very happy when it was perfect fit.

I also noticed a different humm from the deck with these blades, did any of you notice that too?

Is this a gator mulcher or regular blade? When I look up Oregon part 92-048, it shows as a regular blade, but 96-748 and 396-748 show as having the same dimensions but are mulcher blades. All three have 3/4" center holes - I'll have to measure the spindles again just to be sure.

The "96-748 BLADE, GM 3-IN-1 KUBOTA 18-5/8IN" will fit as well, looking back it was the one I used on the 54" fine cut.

The one on the link is a gator 96-748, mulcher. I have 3 ordered, if they fit I will report back for sure. I have read some people say it fits while others had to make the hole bigger. On that website if you go on the FAQ it says that it works for that kubota mower.

If that doesn't work, I found these as well. 3" wide blade w/ larger (1-1/8") center hole. I haven't had the opportunity to climb under my deck and check the spindle size.

From looking around the forums, the 1-1/8'' works if you use a bushing. The cat1/0 bushing appears to be the right size but you have to cut it (I'm guessing lengthwise?).

I can't answer your question about fit, but just thought I'd share my experience with Gator baldes from Bailey's. I have a Kobuta ZD331 (31HP diesel) 72" cut, and this high horsepower cutting mostly bahia (fast growning and TOUGH) wrecks OEM blades in a few hours. The Gator blades with the coating, holds up very well. I only touch them up with a sanding flap wheel to keep them sharp. They are also priced much less than the dealer charges for stock blades.
Hope you find a fit for your, I think it will be worth the effort.
