I have a PT422 that I bought the trencher for. I did one project with it and it has just sat. Anybody interested in buying it? I bought and put the wider teeth on it. Location is Pittsburgh.

I'll have to get some pics together. For price I'll do 1/2 new. I believe that the retail is $1900 so $950.

You should place an ad on the TBN classifieds section, too. ;)

Here is a picture. 6 in wide trencher, 8 GPM, 4 ft deep trench. You can swap the teeth around for a 4 in trench.

Did some one cut off 1 ft off that trencher? Yep, you are right. I thought they were all 4 ft.

My trencher is a 4 footer, and it is almost worn out, chains and sprockets. The repair is upwards of $650, so don't know if it is worth it. The hyd motor could be used for something. Just looked at the replacement trencher for the PT-1445, and it is $2600. I still have the wheeled trencher/stump cutter.

I wonder if the sprocket and chain can be reversed, then the links would be striking the other side of the sprocket, which has no wear. Then reset the blades to trench in the right direction. Has any one done this yet? I checked all the replacement chain and sprocket on the net, and no body admits to making the trencher for PT. It must be foreign made. Did someone say that PT makes all their stuff in house, or assembles it in house.

Mine is a four footer too. I just rebuilt it for $120 in parts (from PT!). I had previously replaced a bunch of tines so this time around it was nose sprocket, bearing and bolt nut as well as tensioning bolts and misc. Hardest part was getting nose bolt loose.
