They have the John Deere cutters right. When I ordered my MX 6 the dealer assured me they were made in Canada with a gearbox made in Spain but surprise! When it arrived it was made in Mexico with a chinese gearbox. Oh well, my John Deere 660 tiller is made in Germany so that will have to do. If my mower does half as well as my tiller I'll be well pleased. So far so good with the MX 6.

I would like to take a John deere 4000 series apart and see how much of it is made there in "Augusta Georgia". Very little I imagine. Everyone says "what difference does it make?" but my response is if it didn't make a difference the companies woudln't be trying to hide where they source their equipment from and put misleading "made in USA" tags on their equipment.

I find it amazing how much equipment is made in Italy. With the euro so high you would think importing Euro farm equipment would be uphill bussiness compared to Mexican or even USA made stuff.

One thing that I noticed is that the NH compacts and Workmaster is listed as being manufactured in Dublin Georgia. Just goes to show you how our manufacturing data is really skewed by out government to reflect data about us in a good light. The NH compacts are imported from either Japan by Shibaura or LS in Korea and then the wheels and final assembly are put on in Dublin. I think that I heard somewhere that this allows NH to avoid some kind of tax referred to as a chicken tax. Not disparaging NH because I hold them in very high regard as I own a 1720 and my dad has used an old 800 for years hauling round bales.

Part of this is because Fiat-Allis was based in Italy and now New Holland is based in Italy.

Interesting that almost all of the combines are made in either Kansas or Nebraska.

Did not see any tractors under 100 HP in the USA

At least the balers are made in New Holland, PA.
