445 or X500

My neighbor has an X500. It cuts well but ever since he saw my 425 he has been jealous. The X500 does not have hydraulics and I think the deck is belt driven.

Yeah, and the trans is belt drive too. I went back and forth on the X540 and X720 while comparing them on-line. Went to the local dealer and the choice was clear. The X7 series is way beefier than the X5, I wouldn't even consider the X5 after seeing one in person. Ended up with a beat up '99 425 that I don't have to make payments on, and don't feel bad at all when I get on it with muddy boots.
