make sure the oring on the fitting doesn't crash on the threads on the fitting.....there is a right and wrong way to install these....best to take off and check to make sure and put a new oring on....

Yep, what he said! The lock nut should be completely covering the threads and only tightened to lock the fitting in place.

Had a customer return about an 1 1/2" fitting when I worked at a hydraulic shop that he installed with the nut all the way to the top and destroyed the o-ring washer.

He was wanting a new fitting for free and I had to explain to him that warranty doesn't cover stupid!
