Just curious of how big of plow you are pulling with a 4720. I would also be interested in how big of a disc you are pulling. Thanks

The 4720 has the HP to pull a large set of plows. However, tire tread type, wheel weight, and soil conditions will dictate how big of a plow and/or disc you can attach.

It will have four wheel weights and solution in the tires and loader on it. So it will be weighted down pretty good. I may just pick up a 8 and a half foot three point disc which I know it will toss around easily but was kicking around a 12 foot used pull type. I also have an eye on a nice four bottom and a three bottom plow, so was curious if anyone tried a four bottom with there 4720

Bingo...
I've got a 2 bottom behind my 3520 and seriously, I dont even feel it back there. If it were not for my relatively small garden, I'd be looking for a 3 bottom. But a 3 bottom would be much larger and more cumbersome to manuver around the garden & yard..
I'd say a 4720 would have ZERO problems with a 3 bottom in any soil type and your soil type would dictate if you could pull a 4 bottom.

I pull a 6' disc and my 4520 with R1s handles it easily. I would think you should not have any significant issues with a 14", 3 bottom plow. I don't think you would have a chance with a large, 4 bottom plow.

I think it is more optimal to pull a slightly smaller disk faster rather than try to pull a wide one. You can get the same amount of work done just have to approach the problem differently with the compact tractors.

I would go with A 3 bottom because pulling a low a little faster does a better job of flipping the soil/sod over completely. 6 Ft disc should be fine. Here are a couple we have on Ebay today. You can't find these type rebuilt plows on Craigslist. Ken Sweet
