wdchyd,
Thank you for the pictures. That's what I had in mind when I talked about welding something up. This gives me a good guide when I get time.

You're gonna like it for quickie trailer jogging........I have three trailers in the dooryard and sometimes it's the best way for shuffling......the tool-less "Tee" bolt adds to the speed of use.....

WDCHYD,

I had the exact same idea as you, even with a cross dowel on the bolt so you wouldn't need a wrench. I used it a few times with no problems but then bent the lower piece when lifting and moving a friend's larger trailer. Your's is obviously much heavier duty than mine. Can you tell me what thickness of steel you used.

Thanks,

Mine doesn't attach to my bucket, but since converting to an SSQA, its just seconds to swap from one to another. No problems seeing the trailer hitch. I added a couple extra reciever tubes to add lifting options..... like lifting from two points, or slinging something. Just throwing out ideas....

ametcalf,

Here's my rendition of your idea......it clamps and unclamps without any tools....wedge/spacer used for added strength and rigidity......

The only thing I would have changed is to make it stick out further as it's hard to see the ball when sitting on the tractor seat (the bucket has to be tilted all the way up).....

May I copie this! Sturdy, not permanent, and down low!

Is your SSQA custom made or purchased......I like that setup.....I'd love to change over to something of that arrangement.....that center receiver looks like it could have a 2x2 boom pole in it too....Nice.....

I already have forks but have to remove bucket pins.....:(.....It was something thrown together......

The SSQA was something I found on Craigslist....... guaranteed by the seller to fit my loader :confused2:. Had to modify it quite a bit to make it work, but it was worth it. The attachment to move my trailers / lift stuff I made with some stuff I had hanging around + 2" hitch tubes from R&R. Got a set of forks now also. :)

I'd just bolt the hitch to the top of your bucket and be done with it.

Anything you put down on the lower edge to act as a quick-attach is going to get torn up when doing loader work, or get in the way of a toothbar should you decide to add one later..
