4410 3rd scv w/ w/o kit vs. diverter question

   / 4410 3rd scv w/ w/o kit vs. diverter question #11
I guess I bought two kits then. One kit was the 3rd SCV Kit and the other kit connects to the 3rd SCV and runs to the center QDC new bracket with six holes and then changes to steel lines and with QDC on the end of the steel lines up front for attachments. Might have been a little expensive for the two kits but it is neat, very handy and functional!

Yes, that is a separate kit that extends the line up to the loader. I don't believe it was/is available for the OP's 420 loader though.

No argument that the kit looks nice, but it sends remotes to the rear. I'd like to send lines to the front, too. My thought was that if I tee off out of the bottom of the 3rd scv the kit lines wont work out. Either I'll have to move the outlet bracket down in the rear to compensate for the tee, remake lines, or just not run lines to the front and make long hoses for the grapple connections a the rear.

I went and looked at my 4520 and if it is similar you should not have any problems with tees' in the lines, just watch the routing forwards past the spin on hydraulic filter.

Thanks for the help so far.

I haven't completely dismissed the 3rd scv kit, but it it's going to be a huge PITA to make work with tee's out the bottom of the valve I won't get the kit.

Does the rear bulkhead bracket typically mount to a fixed location on the ROPs? If so the kit hardlines may not work as it'll be down, back or right another 1" or so, won't it.

Also, I realize this was asked earlier, but does anyone know the thread size in that scv? Deere sure doesn't make it easy to cross reference their **** fitting numbers at all. The O-ring is spec'd as 15.3mm x 2.2mm.

Thanks

I don't know about the room issue. Not knowing the sizes of the part number 19, not sure of the availabilty of a TEE. Discount Hydraulic Hose has them.
ORB (O-ring boss) to ORFS (O-ring face seal), all males, with the ORFS at 90* to each other. ORFS to ORB on the run & ORFS on the branch.

If someone can verify sizes of part 19, availability of a TEE could be confirmed

The size of 19 is basically just a close nipple plus a hex in the middle
I did the 3rd SCV on my 4310, it's tighter than a skeeter's tweeter in there.
The factory kit lines just make it. This pic is deceiving, looks like there is enough room for a tee, but I'm not sure there is.

I like the idea of teeing off to the front, but can you even buy just the lever or is it part of a package?
I do think the kit is well worth it. I figured if I ever get the grapple, I'd come off the rear remotes with hoses, it's only a few more feet.

You're right that does look tight in there.

Do you have an pics of the installed bulkhead bracket?

Are those two fittings in second photo the same?

If you have back hoe frame and PBY, it's extra tight for the install. Had to loosen other lines just to thread these in.

The bulkhead is fixed to the fender on the 4310, but if the tees would fit I think you could make the lines work with the bulkhead.

Not sure what you mean by the fittings being the same? they are identical to each other, threads are different from one side to the other. Don't ask the thread size, cause I don't remember.

It was a bit of a job, but well worth it regardless. HTL is a great option.

Picture of how involved it is to get access looks like the tractor was hit by a train :)

Thanks. It looks like I can move that rear fitting bracket around enough on the fender to make it work w/ kit.

What make/model is that HTL? I like the block and the banjo set up.

I'll have to research my past posts (you can too) can't remember the name, Kenny would know just by looking at it.
The block acts like a check valve, but there is another term for it, but it does what you would think a check valve would do, keeps the cylinder from moving if you disconnect the lines.

Search thru my threads started for HTL info, I don't have time now.

That HTL looks like the ones sold by CCM (Carter & Carter Machinery, listed under the "Dealers" tab, above). Very nice people to deal with.

I agree with John, as mine is CCM (now painted black :) )
