I thought about a 22 or 23, but I just didn't want to add another caliber (calibre for you Canadians). And, with the right ammo, 9mm will do the job...

She really likes it because it is essentially identical to her favorite gun the G19. She has a CCW Permit, but doesn't usually carry and when she does, she carries a S&W 649 that was one of my old duty guns before we transitioned to Glocks. She does keep the G19 in her car at all times though.
I carried the .40 G23 and G27, so I was already set up with reloading equipment and some factory ammo.
Agreed, a good load in a 9mm is going to do pretty well. I use a hot Cor Bon +P+ in my Sig 228. My sons teach firearms courses and recommend the gun you can hit with.

A couple more I dug out of my archive of my neighbor's John Deere. This is when I was in to photography, didn't have a tractor of my own, and still was on speaking terms with him (don't ask!)...
I actually set up a light stand behind him for this one, he wanted a shot with his cattle in the background.
Same tractor below without the loader, he just finished repainting it.
