i set my new victor out of sight mole trap about two hours ago: an have caught a mole that had started tunneling in front of the house: only about 15-20 ft of tunnel where i could see it: i have two new, still in the boxes, out of sight traps, the first one, would not set, i will have to do some adjusting on it, so i got the other one out, put a couple slices in the ground for the pinchers, pressed down the middle of the tunnel, and dropped the trap in: about two hours later it went off an i had my first one of this year....

Congratulations!

I got skunked on opening day of mole season the first week of April. I saw one tunnel and set two of my six traps. No activity in 4 weeks! Moles fear me!!!!

License doesn't matter as long as Moss pays the fee's!!

Our mole trap weights 19lbs and she has no interest in thinning the herd. :(

i have to admit, i have never caught a mole that fast: i can see where the victor out of sight mole trap, could miss small moles: it just barely caught this one on the back 1/4: these things are a little hard to set, especially if the ground is hard, but i will continue to use them plus the stabbing type i have, to try to rid my place of these pest..

Congratulations. I haven't caught one yet this year. It's very dry and the galleries are deep down. Difficult to find and difficult to put traps in.

Be sure to set the top of the open scissors even with the top of the tunnel. Out of over 250 moles, I have had less than half a dozen pinched in the skin instead of the body. They just waddle around there like a cat held by the scruff of the neck. I call those Rambo! Out of respect for surviving a good fight, I let them go in the woods to fight another day.
