I've noticed on the CCY's that I've seen that the quick couplers for the hydraulic system are below the deck on the right-hand side, just in front of the rear tire. On the other make/models I've seen, the QC's were up higher, usually on the side of the vertical portion of the FEL's boom. The first time I saw the QC's on a CCY SX3100, I asked the dealer about the possibility the hoses might get snagged on brush, hanging as low as they were. He assured me that was a remote possibility, but I'm not too sure.

Have any of you owners with CCY's had any issues with the QC's or hoses in such an exposed place? Have you done anything to remedy the situation - such as bolt or weld plates onto the underside of the deck to protect the hoses and QC's? If so, can you please post pics? Thanks!

Interesting that you pointed that out as I asked the same question. I shrugged it off after deciding on the larger EX3200. The ground clearance made the point moot, besides, the comparable Kubota had the same set up.

In the smaller SX tractors, it seems as though it might present a problem if rolling through heavy brush. But, how many times are you going to do that with a tractor that size? Honestly, I do think the possibility is remote. The similar Kubota BX series did have it tucked away up above, as you said. If anything, the only thing I would do is tuck the color coded caps up and away with a zip tie or take them off all together. That way they are not dangling down to get caught. Make your own guard or deflection bars to keep anything from snagging. Can't be too hard? Good observation, though.

I have a SC2450 and they seem to be in the same spot. I have not been concerned with them except that they are quite inconvenient to hook up. They do get dirty from lawn debris. I have been thinking about relocating them but have not had the time to spend on it.

Twice so far :D I did have one moment where I was backing away from some fallen brush and debris, and a tree branch laying across another branch got caught under the front tire. The branch angled up at the back as the tire rolled over it, and the upper end of the branch came halfway up to the hydraulic lines where they're sheathed, a couple feet ahead of the QC panel. It wasn't close, but still made me wonder about a skid plate of sorts ;)

I suppose that something simple like that could ruin your day! Maybe a chance to develop and market something!
