Mowing Adjusting turnbuckle

I hooked up my new 4 foot mower to new L2800 tractor. It appeard the turnbuckel needs one end to have reverse threads but does not. I cannot take the swing out of the mower because turning turn turn buckle does not tighten up because both ends thread the same way. What am I doing wrong?

Good question. I guess it's possible the other one does the tightening. Thanks. Should have checked before posting. I'll check in the morning.

My point was to for you to compare them. They both should become shorter when turned one direction, and longer when turned the other. sounds like a defect for the dealer to look at to me. if they are not alike.

I agree, defect. Sounds like the turnbuckle was made wrong then assembled with threaded parts that fit but do not function properly. A case of two, or more, wrongs making a wrong.
