The X748 has arrived

It was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it!

I kept my 54" deck to use as a rough cut mower (please don't cringe too much!). The person who bought my X585 wanted a 62" anyways and valued the 54" at $500 so I thought I couldn't go wrong.

Can't wait to let the lawn get really long to try out the diesel power.

Congrats! You're going to love it. I tried my best to get my wife to go for the diesel but nope she wouldn't do it. Now she's paying the price of about 1 1/2 gallons per hour of gas usage when mowing.

I like my 455 diesel because the 3 cyl engine is quieter at mowing rpm's. Shakes a bit at lower rpms but I don't mind it. Have had the gas guzzlers, and in fact still do (a 425 and an X485).

Had a 425 for a few years it wasn't as thirsty as the X720. She filled up the X720 and 3 hrs later it starting to touch a 1/4 tank. She bush hogged 2 1/2 acres the other day with the Kubota L3940 and the fuel gauge moved one mark and she running it 2500rpm's and 6 ft. cutter. She admits regretting getting the gas and not the diesel.

Your going to love the diesel. I have a X595 and before that a 445. I cut my fuel consumption by 2/3 when I got the diesel. I have the 62C deck and it has never bogged down even in the tallest and thickest grass. Congratulations on the X748.

Great looking tractor, I love those tires, wonder how they would work on a 2305? Would be a step up in traction from turfs...And you got a diesel to boot...Have fun.:licking:
