Husqvarna's soft rubber handles help as well....with them you don't even need the gloves.

For a lightweight gas trimmer it doesn't get much lighter and easier to handle
than a Dolmar MS-22C, it's also sold I believe under the Robin and Makita label.
We have one and every time someone picks it up they can't believe how light and
balanced it is. It has plenty of power too.
