If you have the patience to search Craigslist a couple of times a week you might find some deals. I got my ballast box and box blade off Craig's and a Red Maxx leaf blower and a few other things too. All were 25%-50% the price of new and the ballast box was basically new... the guy kept it in a barn and had never used it and there wasn't a scratch or spot of rust on it.

It's frustrating sometimes 'cause you'll search for weeks or months and not find anything, and then one day the thing you're looking for will pop up. If I had to pay new price$ for all these implements, I'd wouldn't have as many! :D

Check out my new (to me) boxblade. Wow I am collecting a lot of iron. Hope SWMBO doesn't go to the back of the property. :D:D

Big Iron

Don't forget to turn your teeth around!:laughing::laughing:

I have one of these Worksaver's 6" reversible cutting edges both front and back. It was a great deal as I recall. Been a while though so I will refrain from quoting what I paid.

I found a real good deal on craigs list that I could not pass up the blade was bought and never put on a tractor, I got it for .40 cents on the dollar. My other blade was very used it made me a lot of money though

With the economy being bad you have to be competitive but it goes from $50-$65 hour depending on the job, a fuel delivery fee goes with that on jobs of short duration, a lot of jobs is by the job also, because people want to know cost up-front. I am in Florida the home of sand and swamps!

Just picked it up today. Very nice. The reason the blades are sticking up is cuz the guy never even used them. Came from the factory that way. Paint is hardly worn off. Now time to play, er I mean work on things :D:D:thumbsup:

and remember if you have suitcase weights and need to get the box to set more firmly to the ground, The weights can help on the box, the box I have is a rather lightweight one and I have to use the weights quite often on this Georgia Red clay;)

Nice find! Just ordered mine off of EA today new, had been looking on Craigslist and other sites for months with nothing popping up, or getting snatched up quickly. At least it will be orange like the tractor, too bad it won't be here for the long weekend... :D
