and since it is metal.. you can always weld to it if needed.. heck.. even weld a bumper up there to push over / deflect brush when mowing.

i thought about mounting a good toolbox right on top but the drawback to that is the rattling of the tools. if i need more weight i can just put another one on top.

I make a living off my ears.. so i've got hearing like a bat. and.. um.. if you can hear tools rattling in a box directly in front of a running tractor with that engine going.. then you must have much better ears than i do!!

you are probly right, i may put one on th front.

ps.. I try to wear hearing protection if it's going to be anthing over idle, for anything over a few minutes too.

but yeah.. I think a tool rattle up front of a red tiger engine is not going to be heard OVER the red tiger engine...
