Just another quick thing to add:

Since I made this guage a QD, I can pit it on ANY of the circuits.

And there have been TOO many threads recently about broken/bent/blown things when backdragging and the loader is curled ALL the way down (improper technique).

I know, I have done it as well, and have acctually blown BOTH of my hoses.

Anyway, I put the guage on that circuit, and dumped the bucket all the way and planted it into the pile of mulch and started backing. It didnt take much at all to hit well past the 3000psi mark on the guage:confused2:And that was with nothing on the rear for ballast either. And it was me who let up, not the tractor. I could have kept going, but didnt want to damage anything. A REAL EYE-opener

Here's our MF 1533 doing the same thing...not sure of the size tank, but tractor didn't struggle a bit...I am always amazed by what these things can do

I dont know how I overlooked your post when I was replying to others:confused2:

Is that a 500 gallon tank?? It looks a little smaller, but that can be deceptive.

Is there any propane in it??

It is definatally amazing what these things can do. Especially since it looks like you have a 4 in 1 bucket. That proababally adds a good bit of weight up there as well:thumbsup:

Huge mechanical disadvantage at the dumped bucket. Interesting data that bounce fluctuations are not huge. Must be the tractor rocking on the tires that moderates it. Be aware of probable long term fatigue to the bourdon. One other thing that worries me is lifting and pushing low with the Mahindra ... like trees. With the extra 4K# of load aiding traction push I wonder how high the pressure goes in the lift circuit. My pump output plumbed pressure gauge doesnt tell me this.

I havent had a chance to test that out yet since I just put the guage on about a month ago, but I was thinking the same thing. Like when trying to "pop" stumps out of the ground, and the loader just doesnt have enough to do it, and driving forward while lifting at the same time does....the pressure is no doubt a good bit higher.

But so far, I have only really used the loader for gravel and mulch. But in the months to come, I will be doing MUCH more dirt work when we start digging a basement for my parents new house.

And on a side note, a FULL bucket load of #57 limestone heaped reads ~1500psi. And it is the standard ~8cu/ft 60" bucket. And no load at all in the bucket, just the weight of the bucket/frame itself acting on the cylinders is ~500-600PSI

Boy I have too much time and pressure guages are fun:D
