For those with a HTL, a way to get unstuck?

To flip a tractor using the HTL hydraulic speed a person would have to be brain dead. If a person was to draw the 18" travel to front axle height ratios I doubt it would even be possible to flip it.

Likely a better plan would be to fasten a snatch block (pulley) to the tractor drawbar, and use the 3 ph arms to lift and draw a cable through that pulley and drag the tractor back toward whatever fastened to (a tree ? ). That will drag back at a low point and avoid rotation around the axle.

That's an interesting idea, both would be pretty slow but in a pinch I guess would work.

Yeah this one was one of those hypothetical if you got stuck and were screwed type thoughts. All good points, I like the snatch block idea, also like someone mentioned it would be pretty darn tough to flip her going 16 inches of slow pull at a time. Its not like you are trying to pull a tree down and could use engine power to quickly overturn yourself. Eitherway probably not the safest thing to do, but just an emergency idea i hadnt heard mentioned before.

Using the HTL by itself (not attached to anything), I'd make sure it is a very straight-away pull, as any side (angle) pull might break the top link rockshaft cover casting.

As to the HTL or top link mostly loaded in tension, I'd have to differ a bit on that, as any carry-all platform or the like would be tension load on the top arm or HTL.

Here is a double pallet of firewood that loads the HTL in tension. And wrenching a pallet up off frozen ground will put a lot of tension load on the HTL. The load is straight-away however. Had to move the ballast box to the front to keep the front end down as the blade isn't heavy enough. The FEL is.
