I dunno.. in my country, that tree would not have come out....roots hung into rock and/or hard dirt here....let me add lack of seat belt use to all the other safety violations which have been mentioned.

exactly... up here its red clay and iron ore rock!!...

I still fail to see a tree............all I see is a tall shrub, or bush.........(terminology depends on geographic loacation).

The rhododendron in front of my house is classified as a 'shrub', and it would dwarf that bush that was filmed.

Agreed it wasnt much of a "tree" and I didn't see any beer (looked more like a coffee thermal cup to me) But it still darn near turned the little BX over because of ignorance of proper ballasting and safe operating. Sure he did not turn over, but he could have pretty easily, and he does not know any better and by publishing a video and declaring "That's the way you do it with a Kubota" sets a bad example for other newbies to follow. Thats the main reason I posted this.

I dont have rops on my tractor. I took it off. And their are times I do things that would probabally make others cringe aswell...Not to sound like I am invincible, but I AM a seasoned tractor operator. I dont get over confident and I know its limitations. And I am ALWAYS ballasted properly.

BUT I agree with you on your point. Some of the things I do I would NEVER publish and say "thats the way to do it". And this guy clearly doesnt look like a seasoned veteran.

I also drink a cold one or two while bushhogging/mowing as well:drink:

As a newbie, I fear that I mislead by the post. I opened it because I thought I was going to learn how to "tractor" better. Well I learned what not to do.

I think he has what I want to call a Napoleonic Complex. He posts that he is proud of knocking down a tree with his tractor (both are a bit on the small side).

As a newbie, can I ask, why the roll bar is able to be "bent"? Mine is solid.

Thanks for posting!

The ROPS (Roll Over Protection System) is foldable on a lot of tractors, mine is an example. Some are fixed some foldable, so that they me be put in a garage, or when working under low hanging branches.

when working under low hanging branches.

Ah, I see how that can be useful. I was debating wearing a helmet of some sort after getting wacked by low hangers. I have a moto: All fun things require helmets and waivers that say this could kill you. I thought the stickers on the tractor covered the waivers part.

I always wear the seat belt and most of what I am on is super flat, do most operators?

Some people actually wear logger/chain saw helmets while operating their tractors.

Agreed!!

Now that's big. I guess it's true what they say about Texas.:)
