I'm yankee and thought swamp was the term, and slough was southern. But I'd recognize it either way as "wet" but wouldn't dare call it wetland for fear of having it locked up.

These terms are pretty much interchangeable to me....but I save "slough" for smaller-sized swamps.

Well, the wife is from Canada, and we are always going from one "slew" to another when duck/goose hunting.....I guess they are much much more northern than "yanks":laughing:

hhmmsss mobile home frame..... i need to do something for a couple acres that i can not get to at moment on my property. now ya got me thinking. about cheap junk trailers and like and there frames.

i just tossed a price book i get from some place. it had 8000lbs air plane high tensil strength wire i want to say 1500 feet rolls for 80% off. was like 39 cents per foot. pretty cheap compared to local hardware stores. something "tek" in the name.

We have a cople of nice scrap yards within and hour or so. They catagorize everything & sell by the lb so finding cable should not be too hard.
