Can anyone tell me the difference between a BB1360 and a BB2060. So far all I know is the price diff is about $30 (the 1360 more $). My dealer did not not have either in stock and could not give me any info on them. I did find specs for the BB2060 on the JD website but nothing for the BB1360. Thanks for any help.

See if you see that boxblade here;Woods Equipment Company - Landscape Equipment

I've owned Frontier boxblades in past and at least at that time they were made by "WOODS"(good stuff-IMHO).Look inside plastic cylinder mounted on BB,you,ll see what I mean.

The 1360 model appears to be 50# heavier than the 2060 at 514# vs 465#, but both have fixed tails. See

If you do a yahoo search on Deere BB1360 or Deere BB2060 you can find the PDFs for these easier than if you search for Frontier BB1360 / Frontier BB2060.

The heaviest box blade I have found is the Bush Hog MBX60 for the 5 foot units--580# with floating tail gate. Others may know of better or even heavier 5' units.

I have a 6' foot Frontier, though I'm unsure of the model number. Even though its green and my tractor is orange, it was priced right for a "new leftover" on the dealer's lot. It weighs 534# I believe. 3/8 inch side plates.

While shopping pay particular attention to how the scarifiers are attached/held in place. Some designs ( cotter pin comes to mind ) are a royal pain in the A**.

I have the heavier one with hydraulic scarifiers that looks like a gannon and tore it up with my 5083e. Turned the front cutting edge into a banana when I caught a stump and then twisted the square tubing when backing up and pushed into a creek bank. Broke the welds and tore the metal around the center section at the square tubing. Just not heavy enough I guess.
