Does anyone recognize this back hoe? I am wondering if it will fit my 2020D

It looks as if it came off a YM155D.

Cripes, and I thought my old limegreen backhoe was a beater! But that one really takes the prize.....it's in really tough shape. Is it complete? Got anymore pictures? I see a couple of hoses, but no reservoir or pump. Or seat. Yanmar did sell a few in that color made with the odd open frame and the weirdly curved bucket like that one. One unique feature was a chain drive for the swing movement. Yanmar made it to fit the YM155 and 195 back in the 1970s/early 80s. If it's a 3 pt it ought to fit your 2020.

This is the only picture I have ....I found it online and for sale. I have traded emails back and forth with the owner but its like he has classified information and I don't have clearance. I do know that it is not a 3pt..so I guess its not a bolt on for my 2020

Here is the old spec sheet and also the price list. I've also got the manuals if you decide to do it. Frankly, that picture that you showed makes me wonder if you might be able to do better with just about anything else. But I know how BH envy feels. Had it myself until I got my hands on an old YBH600. Absolutely be sure that this one has PTO hydraulic pump and reservoir or that your 2020 has hydraulic flow for remote attachments. THe PTO pump new probably costs more than that rusty BH.

rScotty I thought I saw once where you said you put your 3-point BH on your little Yanmar. Was it the YBH600?

I wonder If I could put mine on my YM186D. If so, then it might be sufficient as my only tractor.

Yes, it will fit any category I or II 3 pt hitch. But on any 3 pt hitch make sure to get the locking bar that fits UNDER the 3 pt arms. I used mine with the 165, 336 and the large cat II JD. Here's the info. It's a tough little hoe but won't lift much or lift very high. The best feature is a really strong bucket curl cylinder. It will crunch through just about anything. Slowly. I bought mine used for $1700 about 15 years ago and sold it for $900 last year. Probably could have sold it for twice that. It got a lot older, but never did need any repairs other than re-welding the bucket. The bucket is too light for it's power.
good luck, rScotty

I have the locking bar you mentioned. Kubota calls it a 'limiter' and says it's mandatory with ROPS.

This K650's specs and appearance are identical to what I see in your post describing Yanmar YBH600. Thanks! I hadn't seen the Yanmar version of the info before. I always wondered about the weight, and I see 685 lbs working weight in your brochure.

Did it seem your YM165 was close to being damaged, lifting and operating that BH? I see the brochure recommends 19~35 hp. I wonder if using mine with the YM186D would be a good idea long term, or too much for the tractor.

A couple of photos:
Digging out a stump in the orchard. This is what I bought it for.

Using the backhoe to clear blackberry jungle.

Digging another stump. Its raining. I'm not really stuck, just momentarily inconvenienced :) while I discover the tires have dug so deep that the weight is resting on the backhoe, not the tires. I used the bucket curl to tug on the tractor and drove right out.

The ad I found didn't even have the picture... I traded some emails with him as well, he said it came off a "1500D, 4 wheel drive yanmar, 2 cyl." and that's about all I got.

It doesn't exactly look like it would be easy to attach and un-attach from the tractor.
