I've got a T2410 with NO Rear remotes and after bill for being revived at the parts counter when I asked about remote kits they ain't in the budget and I don't like where they would go on the tractor anyway (levers would be under my leg most of the time). So can I tap the power beyond line on the loader valve and add whatever valves I want? Also whats the best way to tap the power beyond? I'm pretty good at fabrication and repair just new to hydraulics additions.

One more thing is the W.R. Long kit the cheapest easiest way to add a 3rd function to the loader?

Thanks in advance for the help
Matt

Greetings riverfront I was just curious how much they cost now? I had two have them installed in my T 2420 one regular and one dent remote, they were around $500 installed this was a few years back when I purchased the tractor. I use them for my grapple on the front simply running hoses to the front of the tractor with a disconnect couplings located at the loader and also quick couple disconnect at the front of the loader for connection to the grapple. I put the extra connection near the loader towers so I could disconnect the loader and leave the other lines neatly attached to the loader less hoses laying around. I also added extensions to the control levers in the cab rather than reaching down to open and close grapple or in the wintertime rotating snowblower discharge chute. I'd like to add one more and have it electronically controlled with a toggle switch on the loader joystick that would be simple especially with my clutch tractor shuttling between forward and reverse with my left hand and adjusting the loader with my right hand and not having to reach over to close the grapple when you just get something perfectly lined up take care

just watch how you value your time in this. It is possible to do it cheaper than the prices of the factory kits, but its time consuming and the cost of each of the hoses and stuff that you'll need add up.

2 years ago I had a WR Long Grapple intalled on my JD 5200 that uses one of the loader circuits with an electric bypass switch to operate the grapple. I push a botton on the joystick to bypass the lift circuit, and can open or close the grapple.

I also had them T off the grapple hydraulic lines and run that into a a set of rear remotes. When the grapple is not on the tractor (or simply disconnected), I can use these remotes using the by pass switch on the grapple activator.

On my previous Kubota, I did this. I used the loader power-beyond. I got a compact two spool valve. Everything was from a local independant tractor shop. I coulda got it cheaper online, but I was not sure exactly what I would need. And, my tractor guy buzzed up to my house to help me build the right hoses. Then buzzed back to the shop, and cut to fit the hoses.

I had originally got a three spool valve from Northern; it was HUGE!. On my Kubota B series, it reminded me of Fred Flinstone when at the drive-in, and the waitress delivers the rack of ribs!

My TC40D, I have not outfitted yet. Tough decision... Factory remotes at $525/ea, or aftermarket and have two remotes for the price of one factory valve...???

I'd like the factory ones, because the slots are already in the control panels, it would be clean, and you know it would work. But $525 for a valve...!!! Not in my budget right now...

You are 100% right there. I was lucky; my local independent tractor guys shop is two miles away. I had a couple trips back and forth to get right parts. Ordered wrong valve on the internet, had to sell it....

Seeing pictures of the TC40/45 kit installed, it is very clean, no flopping hoses, everything hard-lined, and controls go in the slots in the fender control panels.

But, $1100 for the two valves for my TC40D, well, that is a lot...

just watch how you value your time in this. It is possible to do it cheaper than the prices of the factory kits, but its time consuming and the cost of each of the hoses and stuff that you'll need add up.
