Have a new MX5100 with FEL and 4x4. I "need" a back hoe. The BH92 would keep me all orange, but it surely is pricey. Does anyone have experience with some of the alternatives -- Woods, etc.? BTW, I've had no success looking for a used one.

Nice set up! Used Back hoes are hard to come by. Also great to see more of us Louisiana boys on the site. I am in the process of selling my little tractor to someone in St Joseph. I also use to work with Lloyd Perkins, form Waterproof.

I have a GB9000 Woods. It digs well and is built well. The Bradco's are also built well, they are heavier than Woods in some areas, especially where they mount to the tractor. My local Kubota dealer does not sell Kubota backhoes, he says Bradco are that much better.

I have a customer looking at trading in his woods backhoe now, he realizes he sacrificed his performance and is looking at a full kubota outift.

The Bradco looks interesting, but the price is essentially the same as a Kubota. Service and dealer support push me toward the Kubota. Thanks.

i might be the customer that art is talking about, i traded my l3400 with a woods 7.5 ground breaker for a mx5100 and put a bh92 on it, the woods dug good but the big thing for me is the way the bh92 hooks on, the subframe stays on the tractor and is very heavy duty and by the looks it made the tractor alot more rigid. also the ground clearance under the backhoe is alot better. the backhoe was designed for the tractor and puts it closer to the tractor not hanging off the back like an after thought, looks like it fits not added on. very nice unit, no buyers remorse. thanks art for giving good advice, over the years i dont think art has tried to steer me wrong just to profit,if anything he has talked me out of spending money if he thought it was not in my best interest. art has spent his life in farm equipment sales and is very good at it.

I would get a bh92, that does fit your tractor nice. There just made to fit.:D

I agree, I would say to go with the OEM hoe (Kubota) and then you know your covered under warranty - there was a thread not to long ago that a guy with a Kioti and a Woods backhoe may not be covered under warranty - don't remember him responding back though.

I have the BH92 and am very pleased with it. While it is expensive, if you're going to do a lot of BH work and not willing/able to go the commercial route, e.g. L45, M59, etc., then the BH92 will more than do. The sub-frame is solid and well built plus it only takes a couple minutes to remove the BH. I did not get the hydro thumb and it is a nice addition but really adds to the price.

Maybe down the road you can get a hydro thumb.
