447 & 448 buckets

Does anyone know if buckets from a 447 would fit on a 448? I wish deere gave a spec sheet on dimensions of the pin spacing. Additionally if anyone with a 447 could post the measurements of the pin spacing I could check it against my 448. Thanks

Of course you could just go to Deere's parts site and compare the specs of the pins and you would see that the 447 pin is 1" x 7.375 and the 448 pin is 1.25" x 10.25". This doesn't tell you ear spacing but does tell you that a 447 bucket will not fit a 448 without going to a smaller pin and using bushings on the imp side.

I did look on deere's part site and say different pin part numbers. Where did you see a size? I think the ear spacing is more narrow than I need. I'm sure I could make it work.

I don't think they will work.. The 447 dipperstick is smaller than the 448. So the mounting ears will be too close together.

I think your correct tom, I found a 36" bucket local to me for a 447. I've wanted a ditch bucket for my 448 for awhile so I was thinking of buying and modifying it to work. But with the cost of the bucket and price to mod it I'll be within $100 of buying a brand new one for my 448.

Add the pins to your cart, it will show the sizes there.
