Gc2310 backhoe and mmm lift

Chooglin- wil do. It's rain, rain, rain for a few days now... Right now I have the FEL and BH on, but I'll probably be ready to put the MMM back on Sunday- it's supposed to clear up by then. Guess I'll find out then.

Just finished mowing with the BH on. Just to be sure, the only time the lift did not work was when I used any valve on the FEL or BH. Otherwise the lift on the MMM worked like it has for yrs. with the BH on. You must have a bad valve some where if all of the QCs are connected correctly.

well,after staring at the hydraulics on the tractor and looking at the pics in the manual,I figured out what the problem was.the color codes (tie wraps) on the lines are wrong.they had the return line from the backhoe hooked to the power beyond on the tractor and the power beyond from the backhoe,hooked to the return line on the tractor (they were swapped).

I hooked everything up the way it should be,put the correct color tie wraps on the lines and everything works just as tx2310 said it should.

I dont know about you guys ,but when something like this is not working properly,I cant sleep until I figure it out

chooglin- I believe you're the second one to post about those colored tie-wraps being incorrect! Both were 2410s. Glad you got it straightened out. Still raining here, won't be mowing any time real soon..

I have a question, I know mine were wrong because the hitch wouldn't raise at all. So-if it was wrong for removing the BH-would it also be also safe to say that the BH hookup was wrong even though it worked? This may be the cause for the shuddering I was experiencing on the BH hydraulics whenever any of the cylinders extended but not retracted.

Let me know what you guys think-should I will call me dealer to fix it.

perhaps massey should take heed how kubota did thier BX's BH hookups. One is short hoses, and other two is direct port hookups but one has female and other male connector. Impossible to get it messed up. better then color coded hookups :thumbsup:

I'm not 100 percent sure but I thing the dealers screw them up during assembly from freight.

I cannot raise my MMM when the backhoe is attached. It's a 2008 GC2610. I'm beginning to suspect that this thing has been plumbed wrong for sometime. If you read my other posts, you will see that I had problems with the BH blowing lines. I then lost my 3pt valve. Since having the valve replaced by the dealer, I have not been able to raise my deck if the backhoe was on. I know the mechanic switched the fittings around on the BH hookups on the tractor, stating they were backwards from the factory, but since I can't raise the MMM. When running my backhow, I can hear the engine labor more when curling the bucket. In the next few weeks, I plan to pull the tractor in the shop and remove the prear plastic cover and trace all the hydraulic lines. If anyone has any info., please let me know. I called my dealer and they sent me a technical bulletin talking about squalling hyrdraulics when using the 3pt lever. It stated that changing the nylon hoses to rubber hoses will lesson the squalling. I intend to change these out. Sorry for the rambling.
