755 john deere 3pt hitch

I have been fortunate to recently aquire this tractor. The previous owner had an issue with the three point not going down. I have used the tractor for a couple hours and the issue came back again. He took the valve apart and didn't find any debris or damage to the valve. I changed the hydraulic oil and filter...level was slightly low, but it still hasn't resumed. The three point is the lifitng mechanism for the belly mounted 60" mower deck. This tractor also has the mfwd and 70 loader. The performance for the rest of the hydraulics are simply amazing. Any thoughts. I have opened that valve all the way.

What valve are you referring to? My ESP must be a little weak today.

I run across this from time to time on my 955. What works for me is to fully close the Rate of Drop valve and then reopen it. Not sure why, but in my case, it seems to un-stick the 3pt and let it drop.

yes the rate of drop valve. Have you ever taken it apart? I have it apart now and when the balls fell out not sure if the large one goes in first or last. Seems as soon as I removed it the hitch dropped.
