Just picked up a Befco T50 258 (Manual says it is a print from 1998) and a finish mower (not sure of the brand yet) from the boss for $650. Tiller is nice and faded from the sun, but everything is in working order minus a missing wheel on the finish mower.

Never used a tiller before, but that should work well coupled to a Massey 1533, right? Soil has no rocks and it fairly sandy.

Coincidentally, there is a Woods finish mower sitting behind the tiller we thought was the one he was letting go

I'll grab a pic of the tiller. Anything we need to check out maintenance wise on it before using it? Ultimately, I would like to paint it red to match the tractor.

Nice, I am envious! You got one of those "deal of the centuries"!! From what I see around in here my area, I think you got two attachments for the price of one. You should probably work a little harder for your boss for that. :laughing:

Anything we need to check out maintenance wise on it before using it? .

Grease the PTO shaft. Check/fill gear oil in right angle gear box. Grease the right side auger shaft bearing. Make sure the chain case on the left has grease in it. When I got mine used, I took the cover off cleaned out all the old grease and replaced with new. Nice find :thumbsup:

One more thing... make sure to loosen up the slip clutch and make sure it slips.
