Bobcat CT230
I just found out that KC Bobcat is no longer selling or supporting the Compact Tractor line. They are the dealer I purchased my CT230 from about 2 years ago. They referred me to Kansas Golf & Turf. He said the reason they decided to discontinue selling the compact tractors was due to the need to be open on weekends for their tractor customers, and they were not prepared to do that. I find that a little weak. I knew they were not open on weekends when I purchased my tractor, and I don't really see that much differences between the tractor customers and their other business. I suppose customers could use some of the largest models for mowing hay, but they are still undersized for that in my opinion. I would say the majority of the owners are small acreage owners, and not commercial farmers. I know the JD dealer near me is only open on Saturdays until about noon.

Since I purchased my tractor, a dealer much closer to me started selling the tractor line, and they were able to get my part on order, so hopefully I can get the service I need from them. Just thought I'd throw this out and see what other people think.

Sounds like a load of crap to me. They are not making the money they think they should, or having problems with the tractors or with Bobcat. I don't know which one.

I was very happy with my purchase there at KCBobcat. It sounds as if we can't even get parts there?? Service for warranty?

That stinks for sure

Could be they have no (real) interest in dealing with non-commerical/non-industrial customers. Different ballgame.

I went through the same thing after purchasing my Bobcat at Nichols in Texas I was told "not going to carry the CUT line anymore". I posted that when my tractor came in all the tractor stuff was lined up ready to be flatbedded out they had a dozen or so tractors few of everything else (blades,BH,cutters so on)salesman said "they were getting out of the tractor part they werent making any money on them compared to the other equipment" even closed the store up in McKinney hard times in TX. Of course I havent been down there since but I was told by Nichol's that they would do any warranty repairs and they would be happy to service it after that so I said go ahead deliver it.

Now I have a so called dealer of the Cut line at TaylorRental in Allen and Garland has 1 or 2 tractors in Allen and only stocks a few filters no real mechanic at least that I would trust with my little tractor. So I will be either dragging it up to OKC or down to Nichols if I need something.
