I was finally able to get the axle completely off the unit. I was so frustrated that I sawzall'ed off the plastic covering so it's all clear. I will go to the store and check on the PB Blaster and blast the heck out of it.
Thank you.

Don't forget to get new shields to put back on the drive. You really want that shield in place for working with the auger.

Kerosene and ATF (automatic transmission fluid) works really well.

I have been reading your struggles here. By the time you get the post hole digger fixed you will be too tired to put up the fence. Buy or rent yourself a good post hole digger.

Hard work for the tractor? I don't think so, I dig with the engine at idle.

You need to have plenty of shear pins handy. I buy them by the pound. We have a lot of rock (in heavy clay) and on one fence line I averaged one shear pin per hole :(

For my PHD they are just standard grade 5/16 bolts, so I buy several pounds at a time at TSC.

Hi, new here...

I just bought a Kubota BX2350. My first implement was a PHD from TSC with the 12" auger. I buried it on the first attempt. It took two days to get it out.

I can't seem to drill a hole without it wanting to grab and sink. I'm reading the advise here, but somethings still wrong.

Is my tractor too small? My clay/rock soil impossible with this small tractor?

I appreciate your help.

dig a little an pull out If you keep it in the hole to long you'll stick her
keep the hole cleaned out might want to turn up the speed of the lift that seems to help sometimes also there usually a Knob under the seat for that you modle of tractor might not have it though

I would say that you are lowing the 3ph too much and as soon as the auger grabs, it buries itself.

Keep control of the depth, only let the 3ph down a very little bit at a time.
