We have a dealer about 30min.away and i went over several times and looked at them but I couldnt find anyone around that has anything good to say about them or anything to say about them at all.I drove by the kubota dealer and got my tractor couple extra thousand and know im getting a tractor that will hold up. I can see why Mahindra is the #1 selling tractor, there cheap!!
There is always somebody ready to start the brand war up again  .
just curious, was your kubota cheaper than a john deere ? new holland ?
I am old enough to remember when "Made in Japan" meant cheap garbage and why buy it . 30+ years ago it was hard to find anybody who would talk nice about kubota. Boy times have changed :confused2:
http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...12048-kubota-dealer-really-starting-piss.html

Read the above link
guess there are problems with all brands, I just prefer to pay less and you would prefer to pay more

From what I understand, Mahindra is now the World's largest selling tractor brand. Now, I don't know if that is in units or gross sales. In any event, Mahindra sells a lot of tractors. However, whenever I look at the number of people viewing this forum, it is always less than Kioti and even Bobcat, let alone John Deere. Is it because Kioti was introduced earlier? I thought Mahindra entered the U.S. market long before Kioti. And what about Bobcat? Just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe someone with more insight into the U.S. tractor market can explain it.

I'm a satisfied 2008 Mahindra 5525/ML250 FEL owner (bought that tractor new).

I occasionally post to this forum, but mostly I post to other forums where I tout the Mahindra brand, probably more than most people want to hear. In the last three years, I'd estimate that I've posted several hundred photos of my Mahindra on various TBN threads.

Posting to this particular forum at times is like preaching to the choir. I find most of the threads I post to using the "Todays Threads" feature.

They were all close in price, liked how the kubota had all the controls on one side. When your gonna spend 25,000 whats 27,000,just got the tractor i wonted happened to be orange. New Holland workmaster 55 was 24,950,kubota m5040 was 26,900, johnDeere 5045e was 27,400,and the mahindra(india) was around 23,800,case same as NewHolland and McCormick was around 28,000,kioti only had the compacts or 90+hp tractors.

You bought the "CHEAP" tractor  , you bought the kubota
When your gonna spend 25,000 whats 27,000
Or maybe you should have bought the deere, Having a GREEN deere on a farm is a lot prettier than blaze orange, oh well, at least you won't get accidentally shot during DEERE season :D

I'll try to answer your question, it's just my opinion based on a gear head car nut, collector car guy. Tractors are like cars, both collector and classic. What you own is who you are to a point. Japanese tractors come from a place Americans and others all over the world respect and enjoy and their tractors have a history and pedigree. People enjoy looking at talking about them, many have Japanese cars in the driveway. That covers the Japanese tractors. Korea is up and coming, in all respects, electronics from there have left Sony in the dust. Everyone loves the cool appliances from Korea. The place has a reputation for quality and getting it right. Slaying the big guys, watch out here we come with quality type mentality. That covers the Korean tractors. That leaves the American stuff, very cool, unbeatable crop row stuff, fantastic history and classic stuff. That covers the Americans. Now who is really puffed up about a tractor from India. There are no Indian cars, just nothing to hang your hat on, hence, no one online.

HS

My Mahindra is a Japanese tractor made by Mitsubishi.

Sorry to disagree but if you compare apples to apples Mahindra is just a good as any other tractor. Many times better especcially if you look at weight, steel verse plastic..

I have 3 Japanese cars and 3 Japanese Tractors in my garage.

I have one Japanesse car, one American truck and one Indian tractor. I would say my Indian tractor is as good as my Japanesse car and far better than my American truck.

I have the 5530 Turbo 4wd with a 266ML FEL since Nov of 2008. The attachments that I have are all heavy duty to match the power of the unit but not to exceed it. I have nothing to complain about the Mahindra and do post my satisfaction with it. However, I do follow the Mahindra forums here and interesting to see the issues of the smaller units more frequently posted than any for the UT's.

Re: Why are more people not viewing this forum?

Simple answer is, they don't want to.

Most people look at things that they know something about or want to learn something new.

I have no reason to look at Mahindra, except the hyd area, because that is what I am interestered in.

I also own a FORD 8n, and a Kubota, and a Power-Trac., and a CASE skidsteer. I pay special attention to the Power-Trac, probably because I know about the Power-Trac in detail, and I use it often. I can fix everything on it except the VSP pump, and I have a spare for that.

I do read interesting articles from any brand.

Maybe there is more give and take, sharing advise, tips, etc, among the other tractor owners.

Mostly agree with J_J, most of us who have advice on a subject give it freely. If a subject is beyond what I have yet to learn or have limited knowledge I read and let it soak in, digest, research and enjoy. If it works or I can use later on then I've benefited. Myself, I have no interest in the rainbow of colors out there regarding tractors. Because I like what I have. TBN is great site and it covers a myriad of topics that we all are benefitting from. Everyone have a great seat time this weekend.
