Kubota BX 2230
Hello,
I have a 2004 BX2230 It has 450 hrs on the clock.Always ran perfect,I have recently relocated to a much higher elevation (from sea level to 4200 ft) and now have developed a slight miss fire condition.Seems to be most noticible at higher r.p.m. also a noticible smell of unburnt fuel.I have always done regular maintainance.Oil and filter at 50 hrs, regular fuel filter replacement, always run clean fresh fuel.I need to get this running perfect again as I have plenty of work to get done.Any ideas on a direction to go from here?As always Thanks for your expert replys.

Higher Elevation, means thinner air.So have you checked your air filter assy? The air plus diesel make combustion, so if air cleaner is in good condition, then you should check the fuel filter and fuel.I use a fuel additve and still get a little water in the filter.Just 2 cents..

Check with a dealer that normally sells machines working in that higher elavation, probably have to get injection pump reset to run a little leaner. This is not unusual when getting into altitudes over 3000'.

Well at 450hrs I would do a fuel system clean up by running some additives and then changing filters. Then I would adjust the valves and have the unit timed. That should take you for another 450 hours.
