lol, yes!!!Guess should say the cost is alot lower for the same hp.

Pound for pound per horsepower, Mahindras are way heavier than any competition. Weight equals traction. So you bought a lower weight per horsepower tractor for a more expensive price.;)

I'll try to answer your question, it's just my opinion based on a gear head car nut, collector car guy. Tractors are like cars, both collector and classic. What you own is who you are to a point. Japanese tractors come from a place Americans and others all over the world respect and enjoy and their tractors have a history and pedigree. People enjoy looking at talking about them, many have Japanese cars in the driveway. That covers the Japanese tractors. Korea is up and coming, in all respects, electronics from there have left Sony in the dust. Everyone loves the cool appliances from Korea. The place has a reputation for quality and getting it right. Slaying the big guys, watch out here we come with quality type mentality. That covers the Korean tractors. That leaves the American stuff, very cool, unbeatable crop row stuff, fantastic history and classic stuff. That covers the Americans. Now who is really puffed up about a tractor from India. There are no Indian cars, just nothing to hang your hat on, hence, no one online.

Houstonscott,
FYI........Mahindras are descendants of International:thumbsup: tractors, an American tractor.
Mahindra & Mahindra trucks are descendants of WWII Willys Jeeps:thumbsup:, another all American design.

Question on your Avatar....it shows a tractor with R1 tires on the rear and R4 tires on the front. Am I right? Is this tractor 4WD?

Actually my 4035 is very thrifty on fuel. Having a bobcat 753 and a jd 240 prior the Mahindra I am very pleased with the little amount of fuel used. I drove it to my 337 acres which is 3 miles each way. Worked for about 3 hours using a boxblade and fel on my roads. Put my boats in and out and two docks in and used it to move countless rounds from my stockpile of wood to the splitter and when I went to fill it up yesterday to take it to my property I was very surprised to find it would not take a full 5 gallon of fuel. Much much better on fuel than either of my prior skidloaders. I was very surpised. I guess its because I run the tractor at a much lower rpm. I did plenty of work on four and a half gallons of diesel

I have nothing but respect for mahindra tractors, I was even considering purchasing one for myself. But after owning a japanese massy-ferguson, and having great luck with it, and driving both brands I just had to buy a Massey again. Mahindra makes a heavier tractor than the same class Massey.
With my customers and their properties the weight IS what stopped me from going to mahindra.
But it doen't hinder me from getting to gather and circling up the tractors and having a beer party. hasn't rained here in over 3 months. so the tractor is parked in the shop till the rain comes.

So now your choice of tractor is guided by FUEL savings ! bet you can't wait for that plug in tractor model, you make Al Gore proud, :D
Maybe we should take a poll of tbn members, I vote weight more important than fuel ? All these years pulling a horse trailer with my full size p/u when I could have used my sister-in-laws light weight high MPG toyota camry

Sure if your full size p/u is the equal to a camry and you can put a hitch on it,if it can get the job done just as good and save the $$$ on fuel,go for it:D I dont see many big rigs hauling 16 ft lowboys:thumbsup:
