I think the best plan is to find out how much a ticket would cost you, set that money aside to pay the ticket if you ever get one ... & then head on out :thumbsup:

Well I may have spoke a little to soon. Saturday night there I was swimming in the lake with the Rhino parked on the beech and all of a sudden headlights turn the corner and then the flashing lights start. :ashamed: After talking with the officer for a few minutes and telling him that I have been doing this for the better part of 8 years he told me that he would give me a warning if I promise not to come back.

My concern is that I WILL do it again. That is part of the reason that we bought the place. I am just hopeful that it will take a number of years to catch me again.

Whats crazy is that he said if I was riding a Golf Cart everything would be fine. So my complaint is that I am categorized by the vehicle I drive and not the manner in which I drive it. Although my Rhino will go off-road and travel at 40+ mph I would speculate that it has only be run under those circumstances less than 1% of the time. Golf Carts on the other hand are often driven by kids < 16 years old and the LEO's see no problem with that.

According to a local town council golf carts are legal because there manual does not say anything about on or of highway use BUT most UTV on the very first page of the manual state not for highway use. That being said I run mine up and down the road almost daily varmit hunting and even the occiasion fire run (vol. departemt less than 1/4 mile away) and the general concenses from the LEO is drive with a half a brain and all will be well

I have been stopped riding mine down farm market roads and they have always let me go cause of my BIG ORANGE slow moving triangle on the back and usually have my fencing stuff in bed. Well i also have 29inch superswamper(truck tirese) on 15inch wheels,so they are not really sure,but I always keep a eye behind me and move over for other traffic.
