Got this 5-600 lb bay window to remove. All by myself. Hmmmmm... get the tractor, that's why you have it, right? Done. :D:D

Told my wife she should have used the video setting.

With my luck, the whole front wall of the house would come down with the window still attached. :(

Ditto that. BP, you're a braver man than me! Actually, I've got a bay window replacement in my future as well, and I guess you've given me another technique I hadn't thought of. Don't know if my better half would stay calm as I chained the tractor to the kitchen window. Stay tuned...

Come on, guys. You gotta know what's attached and what's structural. You've pushed out an old window or door before, right? Same thing.

I had prepped that bay, It was just setting in there, but tight as can be. But how is one guy gonna push a 9' bay window frame out? That sucker was heavy. You don't just jerk it all at once. You pull, very, very gently on this spot and that spot, watching to see how it moves.
Ah, an HST on the tractor is highly recommended!!

I've installed bay windows before, (along with 5 other guys helping hoist) but this was my first demo. It went very, very well.
It's really no different than pushing out a little 3x4 double hung, only on a much larger scale.

I just put this up a few days ago. Its about 700 lbs of mostly cast iron. Not the modern versions in aluminum. It takes a tractor loader with a pretty strong boom pole on the bucket to set this baby up on its feet (14' high).

I see your place is on the main line ... nice!
Is your tractor steam or diesel-electric?
