Thanks for the PM reply and info Kenny-

The plow im going to be using is a 80" wide Homesteader plow.

http://www.homesteaderplows.com/

Its a plastic blade and only weights 250lbs.

Right now I am using a 72" atv plow and works well so im hoping the 8" extra width shouldnt bother it to much. I was originally thinking of going with a frame mounted plow... but when i get stuck its nice to be able to use the bucket arms/plow.... to push myself free. I buried myself plenty of times over this past winter and was always able to get myself out!

Google W. R. long and look for info on their diverter kit. I ordered one of theirs through Iowa farm to install on a Deere 3720 cab to control a 4 in 1 bucket from the joystick. The valve is approx $600 and the brackets were about $100. Call W R Long and tell them your tractor and loader number....they are very helpful

Your using this 72" ATV plow on your tractor? I do think 80" is way to big regardless of the weight, that is a lot of stress on the loader. Does it have trip springs?

yes, been using a 72" cycle country plow for the last 4 years. Worked great this past winter with 3' of snow! The plow on the explorer is what i was looking to put on the tractor. Either way... if i keep the ATV plow, i want to put side to side tilt.

I looked at the W R Long a couple years back, just dont feel like dropping $700 on it... would rather put that towards a snow blower for the front end :)

Have you priced out the total cost for one of these mechanical diverter valves, hoses, hydraulic adpater fittings, etc.? I'm sure it's less than $700, but just curious what you think you'd have in it.
